Varnished Gig
Two wheeled varnished wooden gig, for general use, been used for a 13.2hh pony for socials and club events. Military wooden wheels without protruding hubs making it ideal for hazard driving.
This carriage has wheel attachment discs to widen the axle for competition. Been stored undercover however in need of re-varnishing.
51 inches wide, narrowest part of shafts 23.5in, widest part 28inches, 68in from splashboard to tip of shaft, 10ft long, height of wheel 41in and from floor to swingletree 25 inches

Spindle back Gig by Hutton and Sons of Dublin, C1898. A superior show vehicle finished in royal blue with cream lines, Bedford cord upholstery.
50 inch wheels. Original spring blocks and u bolts to adjust height if required. A wonderful example with dennet springs and lovely lines.
