Dragon Driving
Fully restored and show ring/attelage ready, George IV pony Phaeton for sale. Perfect Attelage or private drive vehicle. Built round about 1890/1900 by Hill and Bol from Kingston, London and Yeovil in Devon. We purchased from a private collection via Reading Carriage sale four years ago. It then went to Phillip Holder at the Wellington Carriage company for a total restoration.
All metal work was shot down to bare, treated and painted by Phillip personally. It is black and hand lined in cream, with Tan upholstery. I have driven both 11hh Welsh ponies, 12hh plaited pony and a 13.2hh section C Welsh in the vehicle. It rides very smoothly and always drives beautifully with the ponies not struggling to pull forward.
I am sadly selling this vehicle due to purchasing a new vehicle, after spending time and finances bringing this exquisite vehicle back to life, it really should be seen in the ring again. Based Worcestershire. Can arrange UK wide and international shipping.
