Has intermittent kind of lameness, more like stiffness, may be to do with stifle but not investigated. Comes and goes for days or weeks. Affects walk, tends not to trot, seems fine to pace so may suit more a driving home or very good for companion if issue not resolved.
Home important, prefer person that owns their place. Raced a long time ago but I only hacked him on his own. Hunted with previous owner. To ride he's very forward going but due to pacing needs an experienced rider. Turned out with geldings but previous home was mixed. Lives out all year access to shelter, no rug but fine to be stabled. He has no vices.
Barefoot good hooves but shod before. Vaccination and worming up to date. He's so sweet and easy to load, catch, clip, mount, etc... Not ridden or driven in long time and due to issue sold from field. No dealers please.

Stunning Comtois ride and drive gelding. Imported from France 5 years ago. 16hh, 16 years old. He has a fantastic kind, friendly temperament, is a true gentle giant.
Whilst in France he was driven as a single and a pair as well as a working horse on the farm logging, chain harrowing and attended heavy horse driving shows. Over recent years he has not done a lot of driving. He has recently been brought back into ridden work and takes everything in his stride.
He is excellent to shoe, catch and in traffic. Vaccinations up to date. He is with us to sell on behalf of his owner and this is a very sad sale as he will be sorely missed so no time wasters please and he must go to a 5* forever home. More photos available upon request. Anton, 15.2hh Standardbred Riding Gelding
Due to change in circumstances I am selling my boy, Anton is a 15.2hh 6 year old! Anton is a sweet heart and puts his heart in to absolutely everything! He needs a patient person to bring him on to his absolute best and he is sensitive. Anton is a Standardbred so we have had our struggles getting him to be a ridden horse but, my gosh he loves it! He has driven in the past but I don't think he has the best experience!
Anton is a very fast learner, puts his heart and soul in to everything! When I got him he only knew how to pace, we now have walk, trot and getting there with his canter. He loves his jumping and pole work so with the right person I think he would succeed in that area a lot. He has also been professionally schooled in June.
Ideally I am looking for someone that has experience with Standardbreds. This is a heart breaking decision so please only get in touch if you're genuinely wanting to know more and can offer him 5* home.
