Brush can be quite forward in the school and jumping but is never dangerous or silly and you can stop. Bonnie Connemara 15.1, 9 years old bay mare. For sale as project, this advert is as honest as I can be so as not to be sold on as a child's pony. She needs a small capable adult to have time patience with her. Bonnie was sold to a friend of mine as a well schooled, straight forward teenagers horse, previously ridden by a fourteen year old, well mannered, no issues etc...
On the ground she is just that, trying to ride her she is hit and miss as to whether she will be fine or turn in to a bucking bronco! Obviously this is a problem, all the usual have been checked.
My friend payed £2,500 for her, she was sent to a livery yard to be assessed after the first incident and after a month, the owner decided he didn't want to spend anymore money on her. Oreo is extremely responsive and does not need or like kicking and flapping. If she decides that she has had enough she will suddenly run, we strongly believe that the right home and lots of love and patience will allow her to reach her full potential. For us our children have still been fidgety in the saddle and think this has made Oreo fear "what's happening". Hence for sale as a serious project, companion, broodmare!
Absolutely no novices. With patience and a sensitive rider she has the potential to go far! Not been ridden for 6 months now, so someone far more experienced than us to work to get the best from her. Lunges beautifully and has shown us she is an exceptionally talented jumper, she is bold and careful into a fence and her scope is phenomenal, There is some serious jumping ability in there, although we've not done this for a year or so.
She's good for the farrier, stands to be fussed and groomed for hours. Loading can be a slow process but only used a trailer. Happy to be left in a field if her friends are off out hacking. When ridden she had hacked out well with others.

Misty, Riding Filly
Our beautiful Misty 13.3hh/14hh rising 4 to make a min of 14.2hh bum high. Well what can I say she has been the easiest pony to do in all ways a true family pony, mother, daughter share. She is the sweetest girl a real trier, she would make the best happy hacker or with a bit more mileage a fantastic pc/hunt pony. She is happy for children of all ages riding her from a total novice bouncing about or a more experienced child.
She has a huge effortless jump and easily clears 110cm. We had a sponsored ride booked and my daughters pony unfortunately went lame so we took Misty my 10 year old rode her she wasn't fazed by anything, she was steady not at all strong pulled up was happy with others passing her, she jumped everything asked of her even the the big 110cm brush jump. 16/16.1hh 11 year mare, reg Belgium, hacks alone with a strong rider as will plant so needs a smacked bum and a growl and she will go, will happily hack in company, she will happily go around the school but isn't well schooled in an outline but wiling, canters fine out in the open. There's literally not a nasty bone in her.
Here's the nitty gritty, hacking alone Noreen will look at stuff, she needs pushing on if she passes a horse eating wheelie bin! Or silly stuff like gateways! Having said this she's no killer and is ridden by teenagers here, and fine in company. She is a very big horse so not for someone that's only ever owned a pony as she does know her size but is a sweetheart and wouldn't hurt you.
Old scarring on back legs that you can't see but can feel from feather mites but she has been successfully treated by my vet. Barefoot good for farrier, not a novice ride, hacking alone although I think anyone could ride her in the school or if hacking through woodlands.

Mena has not been ridden or worked for a year apart from a bit of lunging with and without a life size dummy a ten year old child sitting on her and an adult riding her in the field.
Mena is passported, microchipped, teeth and feet done, wormed, etc... Is looking for a home where she can enjoy hacking out again and perhaps being shown in veteran classes. Mena is probably not suitable for a young child may suit an older competent child or a light weight rider.
I don't know how Mena will be in traffic thoogh she has seen and been near farm machinery, tractors, lorries, cars, trains, dogs, fisherman, and their umbrellas, mowers, etc... While with me without incident. Currently lives out with a small mixed herd, she's easy to catch, etc...

Flicka, 16hh Mare
Flicka is an 18 year old 16hh mare who came to me recently as a confidence giver. She has not settled on our very busy yard with me, I think mainly due to my inexperience with larger horses. I had not ridden since being a teenager and am very nervous, which is transferring to her and then I'm losing any confidence I had.
She was sold to me as a ridden horse however she has been intermittently unsound since I had her shod, my farrier shod her differently to support her heels so this may have affected her so I am therefore selling her as a companion. However until this week she has been being ridden almost daily in walk and this has not proved a problem to her either in the school or hacking. I am hopeful that she could possibly be able to do light ridden work again in the future.
Unfortunately I don't have the time or confidence to continue with her so have decided it's best for her to find a new home.
