Wanted: Riding Pony

Looking for a Lottie-a-like. Lottie is a smidge under 14.1hh and almost as wide. She takes no notice of tractors, motor bikes, lorries, cars, bicycles, dogs or cows. Lottie likes to go out on her own, or with others. She loves the country lanes and open fields, but sees no need to rush.

Lottie is good to trim (currently barefoot), but would be fine with shoes. She has no vices and is fit and sound but not in her first rush of youth. Lottie likes to come in for food and go out again with her friends in the field, but is also happy being in at night during the bad weather. Most of all, Lottie loves taking care of her slightly nervous rider and is often described as ‘a saint'. She would like someone just like her to join us so she doesn't have to so all the work!

Charlie, 14.2hh Gelding

Charlie is a 14.2hh 12 year old gelding. He was born on the farm and has been here since. Unfortunately we have decided he's wasted here with owner cutting down and me pregnant he deserves to have a job. Charlie's parents are still on the farm so can be seen.

He's grown up in a herd and weathers really well. Charlie was left to mature properly but was a late starter. I feel he would make a lovely all round ride and drive pony. He has been lightly backed, he walks and trots under saddle. He has been free schooled over jumps and has a lovely scope. Has a lovely step and movement on him for trap/cart, he's had harness on him and doesn't bother him at all.

We do ride him in a hackamore as we struggle getting a bit in but I feel like this can be sorted with the right owner/handler. Charlie has been round heavy farm traffic so I really don't think that will bother him at all! He just needs refining now and someone to put their own stamp on him. Good, experienced home wanted. Never sick or sorry.

Oreo, 14.2hh Mare

Oreo is extremely responsive and does not need or like kicking and flapping. If she decides that she has had enough she will suddenly run, we strongly believe that the right home and lots of love and patience will allow her to reach her full potential. For us our children have still been fidgety in the saddle and think this has made Oreo fear "what's happening". Hence for sale as a serious project, companion, broodmare!

Absolutely no novices. With patience and a sensitive rider she has the potential to go far! Not been ridden for 6 months now, so someone far more experienced than us to work to get the best from her. Lunges beautifully and has shown us she is an exceptionally talented jumper, she is bold and careful into a fence and her scope is phenomenal, There is some serious jumping ability in there, although we've not done this for a year or so.

She's good for the farrier, stands to be fussed and groomed for hours. Loading can be a slow process but only used a trailer. Happy to be left in a field if her friends are off out hacking. When ridden she had hacked out well with others.

China, Fell 14hh Riding Mare

China is a registered Fell mare standing at approx 14hh. As wide as she is tall, a heavy little mare. Snaffle mouthed and easy. More kick than pull. Perfect for happy hacking, low level fun pony.

Currently living out but can live in and has no stable vices. Good to load, clip, pamper and catch. Been in the same home for 10 years, brought as a 3 year old. Only for sale due to her not having a job as no jockey. Serious enquiries only.
