Family friend wanted to join 10* home, 15hh +, gelding ideally but would consider non marish mare. 4 years +, kind and easy temperament most important. No thoroughbreds or trotters but otherwise open.
Must be broken but I don't mind green so long as no nastiness. Loving experienced home on farm with stable waiting to enjoy endless amounts of love, fuss, fun rides, hacking and a bit of riding club.
Please no medical issues or sarcoids due to bad experience in the past. Budget up to £2,000. Ideally within 2 hour drive from Somerset BA1.

Casper, Riding Gelding
This is Casper, cob gelding rising 4 years old. Currently standing at 14hh on withers and 14.2hh on bum to make 15hh+. He is well handled, easy to catch, picks up all 4 feet, loves a fuss and a brush. Passported and registered.
He has been professionally backed but shown to be nervous at times and has been spooky, so needs someone confident and experienced to bring him on further and build his confidence up. Has hacked out alone and in company. Still got lots of growing to do will go far in the right hands.

This is Ralph, he's a leg in each corner type, he's the first to greet you in the morning, he's a very affectionate, kind, loving horse. Ralph is just an all round gent.
He loves his hunting, Ralph goes first or last, does gates, waits on the box. Ralph is so honest out hunting, jumps the biggest of country and is never rude, ignorant going into hedges or queueing for rails.

15.2hh gelding, 12 years old. No recorded breeding but suspect Irish x Welsh type. Been out of work a month, have got on him the last couple of days and he has all the right buttons. Previously competitively jumped up to 1.10. Not a spooky sort.
Needs a good rider. Can throw a good buck if you're riding him like a sack of spuds or yank him in the gob over a jump. Did attempt to nap on way out of yard but very half hearted and went on his way. Does have an old splint that doesn't affect him.

Prince is a 16hh 7 year old ex racehorse. Prince retired from racing in July 2019 sound and has no health issues. Prince has had some retraining done and then went to live out in the field to mature where he has lived for 2 years.

Tyler, 16.2hh Riding Gelding
Tyler is a 16.2hh cob x. A lovely horse to have around the yard. He started in a riding school as a young horse and has attended pony club and local shows. Tyler has attended weekend camps, cross country schooling and took up dressage. He has done area festival at prelim and the Midways championships at novice.
Tyler enjoys his hacking. He also schools and jumps on grass as well. Tyler is good to clip, shod all round can be bare foot behind. Happy to come in at night or live out as long as he has company.

Fin is a 16.2hh 18 year old Irish Draft. Don't be put off by his age, he doesn't act it. Pros: very friendly, good with farrier, to be clipped and catch. Fin can jump very high around 1.10m with rider and 1.25m without. He is a pro at dressage and would teach someone a lot. Can hack alone very nicely amazing horse on the roads. Took care of me who's a nervous rider.
Cons: he sometimes doesn't want to walk out his field so will be a big pull. When hacking with other horses he can get a bit stressed but never nasty. He has reared with me 1 time when I first rode him due to miscommunication. He will only be transported in a horse box. Kent area.

15.2hh Welsh Section D Mare
Black Welsh D mare 15.2hh, DOB 2010. Fully WPCS passport. From Thorneyside bloodlines. Bought with the intention of bringing her back in to work but I do not have the time for her unfortunately. She has previously had a couple of foals and was bought from previous owner who was bringing her back in to work. I have pictures and video of her being ridden. I have lead her out with full tack on no problem. She comes to greet you at the gate, easy to catch, easy to tie up, loves a good groom. Really good doer and lives out 24/7 no probs.
Real good example of a mare. No lumps or bumps. Really lovely natured who likes attention. Currently barefoot. Would be a good winter project for someone.

Lily, 16.2hh Mare
Lily is a 16.2hh chestnut warmblood mare. She is 16 years old. Unfortunately due to me going back to work/uni and having my daughter, I don't have time. Lily does have quirks and is a mareish mare. She's been out of work for 18 month and with me all she has done is hacking, which she loves. Lily doesn't like to hack alone and her confidence goes but enjoys hacking with another horse. However, she's a strong, forward ride and with an experienced rider, she'll thrive.
She thrives on routine with a 1-1 owner. She does need some turnout during the day in winter. She will stand all day to be groomed/ pampered. She is foot perfect for a farrier and is currently barefooted. She does have arthritis in her hocks but this is very mild. Lily also has had an injury on her near, fore which is all healed and doesn't affect her whatsoever and was sound through healing.
Bridle, rugs, passport, etc... will all come with her. This is a heart breaking sale and I want nothing but the best home for this horse.

Dolly, 16.2hh Riding Mare
Dolly is a dream to have on the yard, she's done little bits of everything from competing on ticket to 1.10, hunted, loves cross country. Only reason of sale is she is wasted been a plod, few jump in the arena every now and then. With the owner not having a box, hire boxes it's hard for them to get her out doing what she loves doing the most. Not fair on her when she's got the heart to be out there competing.
Don't be put of by her age, she still fit, healthy and has a lot of potential still in her with the right person. She schools correctly, the owner doesn't really get the schooling part but in the right hand she works in an outline. When tied, she stands like a dream for kids to brush and fuss with her, sometimes she not even tied up, she just stands there. She's a very polite mare.
She box and travels fabulous, picks all 4 feet up (shoe on). Very good to clip, she is clipped already. If you're looking for something to show jump, hunting seasons she's deffo the one.

Dora, 15.2hh Riding Mare

Dora schools well in all 3 paces, if you drop the reins she just stops and parks up! Very easy mare in the stable, good to catch, load and with the farrier.
