Noreen, 16hh Riding Mare

16/16.1hh 11 year mare, reg Belgium, hacks alone with a strong rider as will plant so needs a smacked bum and a growl and she will go, will happily hack in company, she will happily go around the school but isn't well schooled in an outline but wiling, canters fine out in the open. There's literally not a nasty bone in her.

Here's the nitty gritty, hacking alone Noreen will look at stuff, she needs pushing on if she passes a horse eating wheelie bin! Or silly stuff like gateways! Having said this she's no killer and is ridden by teenagers here, and fine in company. She is a very big horse so not for someone that's only ever owned a pony as she does know her size but is a sweetheart and wouldn't hurt you.

Old scarring on back legs that you can't see but can feel from feather mites but she has been successfully treated by my vet. Barefoot good for farrier, not a novice ride, hacking alone although I think anyone could ride her in the school or if hacking through woodlands.

Lightly shown in hand and qualified for TOYS 2022 for both youngstock and Quest with good feedback from judges regarding type and conformation. Behaved so well at her first county show this week. Has been lightly long reined and had tack on. Easy to clip, bath, groom, needs patience with her legs. Ginnie can be strong on the ground though.

She Isn't a spooky pony and not much phases her so would make a fantastic ride and drive. Owned since 10 months. No rider and unfortunately difficult circumstances at home means I've had to make this heart breaking choice, I'm happy to discuss further privately.

Charlie, 14.2hh Gelding

Charlie is a 14.2hh 12 year old gelding. He was born on the farm and has been here since. Unfortunately we have decided he's wasted here with owner cutting down and me pregnant he deserves to have a job. Charlie's parents are still on the farm so can be seen.

He's grown up in a herd and weathers really well. Charlie was left to mature properly but was a late starter. I feel he would make a lovely all round ride and drive pony. He has been lightly backed, he walks and trots under saddle. He has been free schooled over jumps and has a lovely scope. Has a lovely step and movement on him for trap/cart, he's had harness on him and doesn't bother him at all.

We do ride him in a hackamore as we struggle getting a bit in but I feel like this can be sorted with the right owner/handler. Charlie has been round heavy farm traffic so I really don't think that will bother him at all! He just needs refining now and someone to put their own stamp on him. Good, experienced home wanted. Never sick or sorry.
