Pair of Comtois (Belgian Draft type) working mares, from the estate of the late ‘Daisy' Sadler of Sydney's ExPloditions. Rising 16 and 12 respectively. Both 16hh. Bred in Southern France, then to south Belgium in 2018. Acquired via Stal Talpe in Oct 2023, with fully stamped French passports.
They work well with our farrier, Joe Bell. Classically docile and easy to handle, they live and box well together. They can be demonstrated by Daisy's driving colleague Sam, who took Daisy on her waggon to her final resting place in November. Daisy's husband Josh is on a promise to Daisy's memory to find them a good home, so no dealers please, though commission paid for a successful introduction. Any vetting welcome.
A new home is also needed for all Daisy's wagons, harness, and everything else accumulated from 30 years of working and travelling with heavy horses.

Registered mini Shetland mare. Standing around 28”. Very small. Born 2011. Just purely been a companion pony with us. Was told she's done a job previously but I couldn't possibly say. Little baby has sat on her a few times but not ridden at all in anyway. But just always got on with never nasty, silly, bucked or reared. Super quiet to lead and do everything with. Like a little dog really. Super easy to catch.
Does not bite or kick. Loads and travels well. Would easily be a petting pony. You don't even know you've got her. Lives off fresh air and so easy to keep. Make a nice little driving pony. I would say a riding pony but she's so small.
We have lead her out along side the pushchair and isn't fussed by any traffic and she never looks at anything. Gets along with all animals big or small. I will be fussy on the home she goes too. 13.1hh 12 year cob gelding. Bob is a lovely kind hearted boy, he came to us as a first ridden pony for my 8 year old daughter. Unfortunately this does not seem to be the case. We later found out Bob has been unridden for 2 years in his previous home and has been mostly a driving pony in his earlier years.
He is very nervous being ridden and has proven to shoot forward upon mounting therefore we believe he would be better suited as a driving pony, project or a companion. We do not have the experience or the knowledge to bring him on under saddle, but are sure he could be the perfect pony for someone who does have.
This is not an easy sale, but Bob deserves the best of homes, sadly we are not experienced enough to give him what he needs.

Stunning stepping cob colt blue and white to make 15.2hh. Easy. Very well marked. Steps both front and back. Well bred by the Corporal stallion that was at Appleby last year. Mother is a red and white double Diesel bred mare. Both parents 15.2hh.
He's 10 months old, passported, chipped, wormed to date. He's a big colt. Just had his feet trimmed. Halter broke, leads, ties and backs up when asked. Needs a bit more work picking feet but other than that he's well mannered. Used to all the dogs, farm machinery on the yard.
