Heavy Horse Shafts
3 pairs of heavy horse shafts, one pair 12 ft long and two pairs 9ft 10" they are approx 4" by 3.5/8" at the thick end and 3.5/8 by 2.3/8 at the thin end. The shafts are new blanks cut from Herefordshire ash.
I can also steam bend some rise in the shafts if required for an extra £50 per pair. The long pair are £220 and the shorter ones £180 and £150.
The £150 ones have a small defect in one shaft. It will not effect the strength as the are chunky shafts any way.

Pleasure Vehicle
Four wheel carriage for sale. Set up for a single at the moment, but it has a turntable so would convert to a pair reasonably easily. It is seating for two at the front and has a back step for the groom. Suitable for ponies 11.2-13.2. Possibly a bit smaller for a pair.
Now for the bad news, I had an accident on this three years ago and it still hasn't been repaired. The front near side wheel was damaged and the rubber has come off both the front steel wheels. I still have the rubber and my husband assures me it would not take much to bring it back to its former glory.

Brougham Parts
Brougham undercarriage, turntable, front axle. 5th wheel, rear axle, splinter bar, wheels. These are parts from a Brougham dated 1910.
The axles are stamped with a Crown over V R, indicating year of manufacture to be Coronation of George the 5th. ie. 1910. Axles stamped Mason patent London. The whole vehicle was salvaged,but the body disintegrated.
The wheels require new felloes all round, spokes and naffs pretty sound. There is a small spot of worm in the turntable, but long dormant,treated some years ago. Collinge axles.

Pleasure Vehicle
Possibly Polish 4 wheeler single cart, has been used with 16.3hh heavy cob. I do not know the exact size it would fit but there must be some flexibility either way. It is a sturdy cart so would need a reasonably big animal to pull it anyway.
This cart has been in an accident and comes without the shafts but I have found websites that make shafts for under £250. The cart was bought approximately 3 years ago as very nearly new and I believe it was bought for £2500 at the time.

Wagon
1948 4 wheel cart, I think it came from the west country. I don't know too much about the cart, other than I have had the cart for some 35 years and it's been kept indoors and out of the rain and weather.
We can deliver the wagon but we would have to cost that on the distance. The problem is that the we would have to put the wagon on a car trailer, and strap the wagon really, really well and transport it very slowly. The wagon would be rather fragile by now.
As for horse sizes, I have no idea at all, so the horse sizes I have put on the adverts are just plain guesses.

Square Nuts
Square nuts for carriage builders and restorers. Add a touch of class to your work with these square nuts. These nuts are like the old Whitworth nuts but have a metric thread so you can use easily available metric coach bolts with them.
These are very hard to find. My nuts are quality German made, not cheap Chinese. You can find some on ebay but they are twice the price of mine and you can't get m12. I have invested 100's of pounds in these so I can sell them at a sensible price.
